On Saturday, Pat and I headed up to Copper Mountain for the Warrior Dash. It's a 3.27 mile obstacle course on the mountain. I was able to only get a few pictures since most of the obstacles were not accessible by the public. As you cross the start line, fire blew out from an arch. We then had to run/jump over two junky cars, run up a wooden plank with a rope to help if needed, over a huge pile of hay bales, through some tires and up the mountain. We traversed up through quite a few switch backs and then back down. After we got back down, we headed into the mud pits (being careful to stay under the barbed wire) and then into the tunnels (which were difficult to climb through after you were covered with mud). A rope ladder was next (also more difficult when covered with mud), followed by three short walls to climb over, a creek crossing and a plank to walk over. The final obstacle was fire. There were two fire lines you had to jump over then on to the finish line. We had such a great time that we are planning for it again next year and have our list of friends to join us. There were some great costumes, so next year we want to dress up.
