Our Visit with the Faber's

Pat's cousin, Lexi, and her family came to visit last weekend. We had a blast. On Friday we took them to my favorite place, Estes Park, and did a little hike around Bear Lake. The weather was perfect, not too hot. Bear Lake is a great place to take the little kids...it's an easy walk around the perimeter. All the kids loved it and did great. After some exploring and throwing rocks in the lake, we headed into Estes for some lunch. We attempted to walk around town, but the weather took a turn for the worst and it started to rain pretty hard, so we headed back home.

On Saturday, we started the day with a trip to The Farm. We bought some animal feed and fed all the animals. Kami and Lilia did a great job and Brennan laughed hysterically when the sheep tried to slobber on his hand. It's a huge step up from the last time we took the kids...Brennan cried when the sheep made noise.

After some lunch and a much needed nap for the kids, we went back out and headed into Old Town for dinner and a walk. There was live music in the ped mall, so the kids decided to play in the fountain while dancing and listening to the music. There was a small crowd, with quite a few kids, so we fit right in. Kami and Brennan ended up soaked, but they had a blast. The music was awesome as well. We'll have to try and do that again before the end of the summer. We ended the night with a walk through Old Town and some gelato. Yum!

In the beginning I told Kami to hold up her dress so it didn't get wet. I didn't mean for her to show her undies and she ended up getting wet anyway. Oh well, at least it was just water and she dried off pretty quickly.
