The Coen Clan: Fun in Vail!

Finally...I remember to bring my camera and take pictures!!!! Everyone should be proud of me:)

Anyway, we went to Vail with our good friends, the Beck's, earlier this week and had a blast. We were only there overnight, but the trip was well worth it. On Monday, we arrived in the afternoon and the guys took the older kids to the pool while the babies slept and Lonie and I had an uninterrupted conversation (probably the first). I had forgotten what that was like. After the pool, we took the kids to a water fountain so they could run through and slash around.

On Tuesday, we had plans to ride the gondola to the top of the mountain and play around for awhile. We thought it opened at 9...it opened at 10. So, we decided to walk around and look for a snack for the kids. We finally hopped on the gondola at 10 am and took our ride to the top of Vail Mountain. It was a lot of fun and Kami loved it. We were able to take a short hike with the kids...then they got to play. At the top, there are all sorts of activities for the kids to do. Kami and Noah got to dig for dinosaur bones and look at some stuffed animals (the taxidermy kind of stuffed). We then headed down to eat some lunch and put the kids to bed. After naps, we went to a huge pirate ship park, which was awesome, ate dinner and then we headed home. We arrived at home at about 9 pm...and the kids didn't sleep at all on the way home. They were really good, I'm just surprised they didn't fall asleep. All in all, it was a great trip with great friends.

Next on the agenda...the dinosaurs show and then Eldora, CO on Saturday for a week (so no updates until Aug 9th or so).

On another note, Brennan had his 9 month appointment on Monday. Again I say, what a beast! He is 22 lbs and 30 inches long (95th percentile).
