House update and feeling very fortunate!

Here's a little update on the house. As you can tell from the pictures, the countertops have been installed and the exterior of the house is completely painted (I don't have a picture of that yet). With a few short weeks before closing, they are almost finished. The plumbing fixtures and lighting need to be installed, a few of the cabinet drawers need to be replaced that were broken, the harwood needs to be stained and the carpet installed. Other than some other small items, that's it. I can't wait until it's done. I've been looking for stuff to decorate with. We are going with a rustic log cabin theme, and now that we are close to moving in, I can start looking for little things to fill up super big empty spaces.
I have been thinking a lot about where we live. Growing up in a mountain ski town close to two national parks, I feel I took most of it for granted while I was there. Everything outdoors was readily accessible and within an hour's drive. As I have traveled around and lived in different areas, I realize how much I love the outdoors and the mountains. Now that we are living in Colorado, I am appreciating it a lot more. Ft Collins is a GREAT place to live and raise your children. We are close to the mountains and any outdoor activity you could imagine. I love the fresh mountain air and all the seasons. One of my most favorite places so far is Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park. I can't complain (except for when it gets hot, and that may be overexaggerated with pregnancy). I enjoy every moment we are here. We are also "closer" to family, which is nice when we want to visit. Once our house is done, we are available for guests to come and visit.

Hi Amy!
Great pics of the house--you must be so excited to move in! Hope the last few weeks go without any hitches! I know what you mean about feeling fortunate. We are moving to an area that reminds Jack and I of Jackson and we cannot wait to raise our family with such a wonderful, outdoor environment. Thanks for keeping us up to date. Take care!

Love,

Deb
