Memorial Day Weekend 2010!

The kids and I went to my parents last weekend while Pat took a short trip to Iowa! He played in his cousin's golf tournament and his team WON this year. Yay Pat! A big congrats! We had a great time in the country. The weather was very cooperative (except for the gale force winds), so Kami and Brennan played outside a ton. Papa set up his wall tent for them to play in, they splashed around in the horse's water tub, Kami planted marigolds, painted me a bag and picture frame for my birthday and both kids made me cheesecake:) Yummy!!!! My grandma and uncle were able to visit for a day and I think the kids wore them out! I haven't seen them since Thanksgiving, so it was nice to visit for awhile. I was even able to sneak away with my dad for a few hours to ride horses in the mountains...something I haven't done since before Kami was born. It was wonderful to get out and I can't wait to do it again...my dad was even mentioning going on a pack trip sometime this summer! That would be awesome!
Kami getting ready to plant her marigolds!
At first, Brennan decided he wanted to play in the dog kennel...
...then he changed his mind and wanted to help.
Kami and Nana watering the finished product. They are now sitting on my front porch.
Brennan found a chocolate egg in my uncle's shirt pocket. As you can tell, he ate the whole thing.
Monty and me on top of Wind Rock (the name says it all...big rock, big wind). It looks warm, but it wasn't. The wind was blowing so hard, I nearly lost my hat...and I had to put on 4 layers, but it was well worth it:)
Check out the view of the Wind River Mountains!
