Little Yellowstone!

After a small break from hiking (purely on accident), we finally ventured out again last Sunday. The weather was great and the hike we found was perfect for the little ones...mostly flat with a 1/2 mile of elevation change (and that wasn't even that bad). We went to Little Yellowstone, which is on the northwest corner of Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park. It was named because it resembled the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. If you've never seen the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, I would think you might agree. I've seen it and thought they looked nothing alike (maybe we didn't hike far enough). It was very pretty though, and a really great hike. Kami loved it, until the clouds rolled in and it started to thunder and rain on our way back. She said she was scared of the thunder, so she spent the last part on Pat's shoulders underneath his rain coat. If I had a few more brain cells, I would have taken a picture. I feel good I even remembered to bring the camera at all:) The pictures seem a little blurry...not sure why! In any case, enjoy until the next adventure (which will be very soon). My mom is coming today and staying for a week. I'm sure Kami will have lots planned!

I wanted to share this video of Brennan and his super speedy army crawl! He can crawl on his hand and knees, but prefers the army method (I think actually crawling is hard on his knees when he's on the hard wood floor). He may skip walking all together and just start running! He did try to stand on his own yesterday while holding a toy, but he has horrible balance at this point...he ended up face planting on the floor and getting really upset! Sorry it's sideways, I couldn't figure out how to flip it!
