End of summer!

The end of August has been busy, but fun for us. Last weekend we went back up to Nederland for Nedfest (a bluegrass music festival) with some friends and had a great time. The festival is small, with plenty of activities for the kids to do and plenty of room to run around. The music was awesome and I got to hear bands I've never heard! Kami loved running around and even found some hippie girls to dance with. Of course I forgot my camera, but our friends brought theirs and I'm hoping to get copies. The weather was cool and it only rained twice (we just hung out under our umbrella's until it stopped as it only lasted 10 or 15 min). It'll definitely be an annual outing as our friend's found a great house to rent for the weekend that's big enough for all of us:)

On Tuesday, we took Kami to the zoo. I can definitely say that going to the zoo after school has started is my favorite time to go...there were hardly any people! We got to catch the sea lion show and Kami got to pet a snake (she thought that was cool). Again, I forgot my camera (yes, I realize how lame I am). I think I need to keep it around my neck at all times:)

This week Kami starts preschool 3 days a week. She absolutely loves going! I ordered her some books from school, some of which are letter recognition and very basic readers. She was very excited about getting them, so it'll be interesting how much she wants to learn to read. Pat noticed the other day she has finally gotten one of her second year molars (she's always been "late" in terms of getting her teeth) and another one is starting to pop through. When I asked her if her teeth hurt, she said "No".

Brennan is getting bigger by the minute. He's now 10 months old and is a lot bigger than Kami was at that age. As of right now, Kami is only 7 inches taller and 6.5 lbs heavier. Brennan has four teeth with two more about to pop through. He's super fast at the army crawl and is now getting up on his knees (maybe he'll surprise me and start crawling). One of his favorite things to do is pull himself up and stand up like a big boy...he just laughs and giggles like he's hot stuff.

What a joy both of my kids are. They do test my patience, A LOT, but they are both great kids. I couldn't be more blessed!
