Big baby!

It's hard to believe it's January in Colorado. We've been having the best weather the past few days...60's... and we may reach a high today of 70 degrees. Of course it won't last as it's supposed to be back down in the 40's with possible flurries this weekend. I do miss the snow and am hoping for a little more before spring comes. Besides, we really need the moisture (now I sound like the weather person).

Brennan is growing like a weed. I looked in Kami's baby book this morning to see how they are comparing...there is no comparison. We measured Brennan the other day to see how long he was and he's grown another inch since last month making him 25 inches long (Kami didn't reach 25 inches until she was 6 months). I'm going to purchase a scale to see how much he weighs...I'm guessing maybe 13 or 14 lbs (I'll let you know). I've noticed Brennan already has a "security blanket" when he falls asleep. It's not an actual blanket or toy, but his hand. He will put his right hand, palm open, on the side of his head partially covering his eye. It's the cutest things I've ever seen. I tried to get a picture of it this morning, but he had moved his hand before I could snap the camera. He is getting baptized this Sunday, so I'll post pictures on Monday.

Kami is really enjoying preschool. When we arrive, I have to chase her around to take her coat off. When I pick her up, she says she doesn't want to come home. She learning lots of new things and making some new friends. Her teachers say she is doing great. Lately, she's very into pretending. She'll hand you some sort of animal, and in a very low voice, say "Hi! What's your name?". You then have to answer, in a different voice of course, and continue playing. Makes me remember when I had that good of an imagination.

Pounds lost: 1 more (only 3 more to go for the end of January)
Inches lost: Julbies-1 inch
Thighs-1/2 inch
Hips-1 1/4 inches
Butt-1 1/2 inches

I'm well on my way.
