Kami and I went to my parents for the 4th of July. We had a great time. Kami got to feed the horses with my dad, ride the 4-wheeler, play in the sprinkler, help garden and sweep the porch. She had a great time. Since Kami outgrew her pack-n-play, I was forced to start her in a "big girl bed". I was prepared for hours of putting her back in bed, but I was pleasantly surprised. She loved the "big girl bed" and only wanted out when she was done sleeping. I put a toddler rail up and then used pillows for the other open spaces (she tends to move around a lot while she's sleeping). Now I don't have to buy another crib. When we move into our house, Pat and I decided to get her a regular twin bed since she did so well. I also gave potty training a try, but that was a bust. Luckily, I went into it with no expectations. She did potty in the chair a couple of times, but could have cared less about the music her potty chair played or about the treat she could pick out. Oh well, we'll try again later. No big deal.
My in-laws are coming tomorrow and we are headed to Estes Park for a week. I can't wait. We are going to be hiking, swimming, shopping and going to the Denver Zoo, among other things. It'll be nice to get out of town for awhile.
We took our orientation walk-through yesterday and everything in the house looks great. There are a few little things that need to be touched up before we close next week, but other than those things, the house is done. We are super excited. Apparently I'm nesting because I really want to get in there and start decorating. I have so many ideas, I'm surprised I can remember them all. Once we are somewhat settled, I'll run through the house and take pictures to post.
Speaking of pictures to post, sorry there aren't any this time. My mom emailed me the pictures from the 4th, but for some reason I'm having problems posting them. I may have to wait until we get back.
I hope everyone has a great week and I'll post again when we get back.

Go Kami!! What a big girl sleeping in a big girl's bed. I wish we could be there to help you move into your house...how exciting! I bet you're ready to be out of the apartment. I hope the pregnancy is going well and we miss you tons!
