After Christmas, the kids got the chance to go to my parents house for a few days by themselves. They love going and had a blast. We met them in Steamboat for a few days to ski and hang out. Pat and I were able to ski one day on our own, then we took Kami and Brennan the next day. Kami went up the gondola for her first time and Brennan rode the chairlift for the first time. Even though it was super cold, everyone had a blast. This year, there are ice castles at the base of the mountain. Even though it was -12, we headed over after dark to check them out. We were freezing, but it was well worth it. The only bummer was I had left my gloves back at the condo, so my hands were a bit chilly and only came out of my pockets to take a few pictures! What a great trip! We can't wait to go back again!
