So far this winter, we've had some great adventures! This was our third year heading up to Red Feather as a family to cut down our Christmas tree. It was a tradition I grew up with and I'm glad I am able to do it with my family. We had a great time, although there was no snow so the experience was a little different. The kids had a great time regardless! We went to one of our local nursery's to check out a couple of Santa's reindeer! They were pretty cool. My kids won't get near Santa, but they sure do like his reindeer:) The Garden's at Spring Creek have great lights during Christmas, so we took the kids and checked them out. They are always so beautiful. We also took a trip up to Estes Park last weekend. We ended up at the Long's Peak trail head and did a little hike in the snow. Being on the trail that heads up to the top of Long's Peak made me very excited to climb in next fall! The family hiked up a little ways, then Pat took the kids back to the car to play in the snow while I continued on for a little bit. I was the only one on the trail and it was soooo peaceful. I had a hard time returning to the car:)
The only pile of snow we found while searching for the perfect tree!
