Christmas Tree Hunting!

Growing up, my dad would always go into the woods to cut down our Christmas tree. Last year, we started that tradition with our family. We head up to Red Feather the first weekend of December, drive to an open spot, get out and hike around and cut down our "perfect tree"! This year we picked out a fairly full one (which is hard to do when you are cutting them down in the mountains). Kami had a great time, Brennan wasn't too excited about it since the snow was too deep for him to walk around...he keep falling. Maybe next year he'll appreciate it more:)

On the road up to Red Feather.

The trip starts out with a stop at the Boy Scout camp and a picture with Smokey the Bear. Brennan likes him, Kami doesn't!
In search of the perfect tree.

We found it! Pat ended up having to cut an extra 2 feet off the bottom when we got home.

Kami is trying to help Pat drag it back to the car.

Playing in the snow.

Not a good picture, but here is the final product! My ornament collection is quite small compared to the size of the tree. Guess I'll have to travel more and get more ornaments:)
