I'm a soccer mom!

I have now entered the realm of being a soccer mom, and I have to say I love it! Kami had her first soccer game on Saturday and had a great time. After having only two practices, and having two parents who know nothing about soccer, she did fantastic! She got right in there and scored the first goal of the game, and many more after that, and stole the ball a couple of times as well. Her defense was quite surprising since they haven't practiced that part yet...she was even yelling "defense" to her teammates! I'm glad I've passed my bruteness (if that's even a word) and competitiveness on to her. I think Kami will grow up to be quite the athlete and I can't wait to see what the coming years will bring! I just hope she wants to play volleyball and/or basketball (those are sports I can help her with). All I can hope is that at least one of my children will play basketball:)

The kids before the game.
My little soccer star.

Pre-game huddle! Kami is the girl in the middle.

Kami scoring her first goal. She's the third little girl closest to the goal.

Giving some high fives.

Kami playing defense. She's the one in white in front of the red team.

Time for a well deserved water break.

I knew nothing about soccer either Amy and now I am coaching it! Soccer for Dummies really helped me! :) At this age, the skills are what they need.....you don't need to know all the rules yet! It is a great sport and one in which I am starting to love! Have fun....from one soccer mom to another!

Love,

Deb
