Family Reunion...sort of!

I've been trying to update the blog for a little while now, and for some reason, I haven't been able to upload any pictures. I still can't upload all of them, but will try again later.

Anyway, every other year, my dad's side of the family has a reunion up in Nederland/Eldora, CO. My great aunt owns cabins up there in which we stay for a week. The other years we've gone, most of my family has been able to make it. This year...not so much! My Aunt Diane, Pat, myself and the kids were the only ones to make it. My cousin Melissa, who lives in Boulder, was able to come up with her husband and eat dinner with us and my other aunt, Gini, came for a couple of nights at the end of the week. Our good friends, the Baete's, came up with us the first day and hiked and ate dinner with us. The week ended with a memorial service for my grandma in Denver done by Aunt Diane. It was very beautiful and she did a great job! At any rate, we still had a great time. We did a lot of hiking, Pat and Aunt Diane fished quite a bit and we ate dinner almost every night across the street by the river. The weather was perfect, 46 for a low and a high of mid 70's...now that's my kind of summer weather! We are hoping everyone can make it when we head back in 2013! I'll try to post the rest of the pictures later today.

Pat, Aunt Diane and the kids hiking to Mitchell Lake!

Beautiful stream. Kami was really excited every time we came to a bridge to cross.

Family photo on the way to Mitchell Lake!

Ahhh, Mitchell Lake...beautiful!

Another bridge Kami loved to cross.

The kids found this lonely snow pile and decided to decorate it with twigs and pine cones and make it into a cake while Daddy fished. In true Amy style, I had my camera and forgot to take a picture of the final product!

Me and my awesome kids...with Daddy fishing in the background.

Such a gorgeous state we live in! I feel very blessed!
