Last week, we were blessed to have my wonderful friend, Angie, and her two kids visit us from North Carolina. It's been almost two years since we last saw each other and we had a great time. The weather wasn't too cooperative for many outdoor activities, but we managed to keep them occupied. Sam, Angie's oldest, requested a trip to the Denver Aquarium (which I very happily said yes). Everyone loved seeing the water creatures, and the kids got along great. We also took them to a farm where they could feed the farm animals (Kami was at preschool, so Brennan was the only one of my children that got to enjoy it). At the end of the week, we checked out The Wildlife Experience south of Denver (which I might add was great). We were able to see a bunch of different animals (stuffed, of course) in different biomes. The kids loved it. I was going to take them to Estes Park and to the pool, but Mother Nature said "No way". Kami was very upset when we dropped them off at the airport...she wanted to fly, too. Next time we see them, it will be our turn to visit!
