Estes Park...or bust!

This past weekend we decided to go to Estes Park, one of my most favorite places. We wanted to get out of town and were in search of some snow, which we found. Kami got some strap on skis for Christmas and we haven't been able to use them yet. Fortunately, we went into Rocky Mountain National Park and found some snow. We found a place for back country skiers, and Kami was able to ski a little bit just off to the side of the parking lot. She lasted about 5 minutes, then wanted to run around in the snow (there was too much powder for her to be able to really try them out). In any, case she had a blast. We then took her to the park after her nap to play some more.

We also saw a ton of elk and some big horn sheep. For those that don't know, Estes Park has it's own resident herd. They roam around town and take naps in various front yards. On my way to church, I met one walking down the middle of the road in downtown. It looked at me as if to say, "What's up?" and kept on going. What a great place to be!!!

Who needs a double stroller when your older child can fit in the cargo basket? This is where Kami likes to ride...when she wants to ride in the stroller, which isn't very often. Hence, the fact I haven't bought a double stroller.
Kami...future rock climber? She climbed to the top by herself (with Pat behind her of course).
Check me out skiing! Oops, I dropped my pole!

This is fun, but too much powder!

Daddy helping Kami get ready!
I started feeding Brennan rice cereal a little while ago. He loves it, and tends to cry when you don't feed him fast enough. Originally, I had bought the Gerber brand (which is what Kami used), but it ended up making him a bit stopped up. For those that care, he usually poops multiple times a day. With the cereal, he pooped only twice in a week. I switched brands to the Earth's Best Organic Rice Cereal, which coincidentally has three ingredients compared to a whole paragraph with Gerber (most of which I don't recognize). Much better...he's pooped once a day for the past 3 days. Yeah!!!!!! I weighed him this morning at home...what a piggy! He now weighs 16 1/2 pounds (1 pound more since his 4 month appointment on Feb 27th). Depending on the brand of clothing, he is wearing 6 months or 6-9 months. He's also really close to outgrowing his infant car seat (Kami was in it for almost a year). I have the next seat, but it will make running errands slightly more difficult once I have to take him out of the seat! Oh well, such is life and we'll deal with it when it comes.

Good cereal!
I want to try it myself!
I love my cereal, and my foot:)

Nice foot and cereal picture! Lyman is going to be so jealous that you took Kami skiing. Lyman's dying to get Kade out there.
