What a weekend!

We had a great weekend, which started off with a Kentucky Derby party! On Saturday, we headed to Windsor for the NoCo 20/30 Derby Party. NoCo 20/30 is a group of 20 and 30 year olds that raise money for children's charities around northern Colorado. The weather was perfect, the food was great and the company was the best. Pat and I even WON BIG! We bought raffle tickets to which we could win one of four packages...a trip to next year's derby, a spa package, a sports package and car racing package. We ended up winning the sports package worth $1900. It includes Rockies tickets, Broncos tickets, a 4 person golf outing and 4 tickets to NoCo's suitcase party (which entails packing your suitcase, going to the party and if you win one of their trips, you leave immediately). I am still in awe as we never win anything. How awesome is that?

On Sunday, we headed to Estes Park for a little Mother's Day hike. Due to lots of snow, there isn't much hiking available at this point, so we went to Lily Lake, which sits right outside of Rocky Mountain National Park. The weather was awesome and the kids had a great time. Instead of just walking around the lake, we took the kids up the Lily Ridge Trail. They did great and the view was spectacular. I can't wait to do more hiking this summer:) This will be the first year in 4 years I've been able to hike without having a kid on my back:)
