Thanksgiving 2010!

Lots has happened since my last post, and I apologize because it might not be in order. Since we thought Pat had to work the week of Thanksgiving, we decided to pack up and head to Iowa the week before. We drove the entire 9 hours and the kids did great! I definitely prefer flying, but was happy that everyone survived! We had a great time at Grandma's and Grandpa's. The kids got to play with their cousins and have slumber parties, the adults got to hang out while the kids played. Our trip ended with a 7 mile cross country race in Des Moines...Living History Farms. Along with 8000 other runners, we ran across corn fields, up and down hills, through trees and through water 6 or 7 times. It was cold, muddy, wet and it took awhile, but all of us had fun.
Luckily Grandpa is a dentist!

Cousin Keely and Brennan. This is where Brennan was the whole time...driving the car!
My sweet niece Shaylee!
Grandma and Kami playing with Macy!
Brennan driving Grandpa's truck!
Getting a little holiday boxing in.
All the cousins!
The kids putting on a show for Aunt Sara's birthday! I give them 5 stars:)
Singing happy birthday!
Aunt Sara and Brennan eating cake.
The slumber party...surprisingly they all slept!
We spent Thanksgiving at home this year. Our plan was to host with our friends who were also in town, but a stomach bug was going around and we only ended up eating with one of our friends:( Maybe next year. At any rate, Kami and I ran the Turkey Trot that morning...I ran 4 miles with my friend Amanda and Kami ran .3 miles. She ran the entire thing by herself. In fact, I didn't even get to see her start as she sprinted past me before I got a picture. I didn't catch up with her until she was around the corner.
Brennan wanted to run too, so I managed to get a picture before I left to find Kami. Pat said he ran about 4-5 steps then wanted to be carried. At least he tried:)
I finally caught up with Kami and took a picture. She was having a great time.
Heading to the finish line.
