Hello everyone!
Lots of stuff to update, so I won't delay. I had an appointment last week, and we got to hear the heartbeat. For those wondering, there was just one (that we found) and it was 159. The pregnancy is now starting to seem more real (not that the morning sickness was a good sign). I'm finally starting to feel better and have a ton more energy. My trips to the bathroom haven't stopped, but they are getting farther and farther apart. I am 13 weeks today...start of the second trimester. I felt Kami move around the middle of May, so hopefully I'll feel this baby move soon. I really enjoy that part.
Kami had a busy weekend last weekend. On Friday we took her to the Denver Aquarium. She loves the "fishes", so she was in 7th heaven. We brought the stroller, but I ended up pushing it empty the whole time. On Saturday, we went to Elmo Live. When Big Bird and Elmo came out in the beginning, Kami sat on my lap and just stared and shook her head. For about 20 minutes, she just sat there mesmorized. After that, she finally got up and started to dance around and clap with the other kids. The whole show was 1 1/2 hours, including an intermission, so it was perfect. It was even tolerable for the adults to sit through. Sunday was our monthly baby lunch. For those that don't know, we get together with two couples we met at birth class once a month for lunch, to catch up and to let the kids play together. That was the last one because one of the couples is moving back to Lincoln, Nebraska. We will really miss them and hope they come back to visit often.
Here's an update on our house. I drove by yesterday, and the first and second floor are all framed. There's no roof yet, but that should be done before the end of the week. I'm hoping to get an official walk-through soon and maybe they can tell us an estimated date they might be done. I'm getting really anxious for it to be completed and to be out of the apartment.
I hope this finds everyone well.
